Unlock the Secret to Rest filled Nights for your Baby
Would you like to know the secret to sleep training? Gentle sleep training helps your baby learn to fall asleep independently. But what if your baby doesn’t know how to fall asleep on their own? This is where gentle sleep training comes in and the secret isn’t just in the method that’s used! Gasp!
As a parent you probably desire restored energy, a positive mood and clear thinking as well as increased patience to be able to do your best at your job and with your family. This can be your reality!
Sleep training helps establish healthier sleep habits, leading to longer and more restful sleep for both you and your baby.
Gentle sleep training can give you these things and more!
Imagine putting your baby down in her crib after your babies bedtime routine and your baby rolls over, makes a few noises and then falls asleep! This can happen in as little as two weeks or less!
As a sleep consultant, I use gentle sleep training, which can take a bit longer. The gentle approach gives your baby reassurance because Mom or Dad are near and present. There are a few different sleep methods you are probably familiar with. Some popular ones and not so popular methods are Cry It Out, The Chair Method, The Ferber Method and Pick Up Put Down, maybe these sound familiar to you. Any of these methods can be used, but if your not consistent with what you are doing it won’t work!
Here at Sterling Sleep Solutions LLC I prefer to stick to more gentler methods and personalize the sleep method to fit your little one’s personality and your parenting style. I rarely have parents ask for the Cry It Out Method and I will suggest other methods to help them know what other gentler choices they have.
But wait…what is the secret to rest filled nights?!
Hint: The method you use is not the secret ingredient!
The secret ingredient to sleep training is being consistent with whatever approach you use! Why is consistency so hard? Because your tired and your desperate for sleep!
Here’s where I con help you! I can help you be consistent by creating a sleep plan that includes daytime and night time routines based on your baby’s age and sleep needs. By looking at your Intake Form (a questionnaire that gives me more information about your baby and your family) this allows me to understand your family better to offer advice and make suggestions along the way to make sleep training smoother for your family. I am able to help you be consistent when you are struggling. When you have a plan in place and a sleep consultant by your side you know how to react to night time wake ups and consistency becomes easier!
I am here to encouragement you and troubleshoot with you to stay the course so that you can achieve your sleep goals for your little one. It will take time for your baby to adjust to a new routine which could result in some frustration for them but with my knowledge and your consistency your baby will be supported through the whole training.
I offer many different sleep packages that can fit your budget so that you can move forward with a skilled professional sleep consultant.
Just like a hiring a trainer at the gym can give you quicker results than you doing it by yourself. I can also offer you quicker results and less frustration for your baby so that your baby learns to self-soothe and fall asleep on their own.
When your baby starts to understand your expectations because of your consistency then sleep training moves quickly!
Stop giving your baby mixed messages, it will slow down your efforts to get to your sleep goals!
A mixed message for your baby can be when one parent does something different in how they respond to night wake ups. For example, your baby wakes up and Mom goes in and picks up the baby and rocks the baby back to sleep. The next night the baby wakes up and Dad goes in and pats the baby’s back to get the baby to fall back to sleep. The third night Mom and Dad are exhausted and decide to bring the baby back to their bed at 3am. All these different messages are confusing to your baby!
When you have a sleep plan and you are consistent then your baby can learn what to expect. Then in the middle of the night both parents are on the same page and are following the sleep plan for naps and bedtime which makes baby more comfortable.
So the secret to sleep training is having consistency!
